“Goddess and the singer”- folklore about the song “Us” by Regina Spektor

(diving board: ..i woke up one morning and i thought i must write for Reggie..)
It was the most beautiful evening on Earth. Goddess in the heaven above placed her glittering crown on the table of planets. She reclined on her majestic chair to relax for a while. Her long golden gown was fluttering in the evening breeze. Sunlight sparkled across all of the water in one half of the world. It wasn't a coincidence.
A singer, down here, opened the curtain of her window. One slender ray of the same sunlight rushed inside to kiss the singer's cheeks. It wound itself around her neck and her body, and placed her cute little fingers on the piano.
When the Goddess saw that the singer is getting ready to sing, She held her breathe and quickly transformed herself into a thick silvery vapour. It is said that it takes light a full second to travel from heaven above to the land below. She came down in point five. Goddess then seamlessly entered into singer's body. Singer felt the tickling. Goddess wore singer's fingers as we wear gloves. She aligned Her neck to hers, and shook her head. Their hair swayed. The evening breeze flew slightly stronger for next few moments. Neither was this, a coincidence. Then, She carefully placed her vocal cords exactly where the singer's were.
Singer closed her eyes. Her fingers began to move niftily over the keyboard. As the beautiful voice began to sing, it perplexed the Goddess. The Goddess realised that the song didn't come out the way She had intended.
Singer was better.
The invisible silver vapour disowned the singer's body and settled as a human figure on the same piano. Goddess closed her eyes; hand on her cheek. She swayed in slow motion to the music of the singer's voice. Singer’s aura left her and unified with some portion of the thick silver vapour that detached from the Goddess and hovered between them. Only mortals carry aura.
While singing and playing piano, singer often leaned over the keyboard. With closed eyes, totally immersed in her own musical universe, she moved her head back and forth and sideways. Butterflies around her face waited for that moment when they could kiss her lips; they could not find one. Her long, untied golden-brown hair had covered most of her face. She sang as if the divine power had entrusted her the responsibility of recreating the entire world using her powerful voice. And she was so intimidating that for a moment the Goddess thought that the entire Earth - stones, air and water will come to life if she isn’t interrupted. Scary thought for Her - the Creator.
Singer looked heavenwards when she sang high notes. Whenever she did that, a wave would surge a mile in to the oceans, rise higher than rest and come crushing upon shore. Still sitting on the piano, Goddess was swinging her legs like a happy kid. Her body was wet with singer’s voice.
Finally, the song was over. Singers aura returned where it was, she was mortal again. Half of setting sun had submerged into the ocean. Waves stopped surging and breeze calmed down. Both of them opened their eyes. Singer's eyes were sparkling as ever and her broad smile radiant as ever.
Tears trickled down Goddess's cheeks. "Oh 'My God'! I do create amazing things!!", She said.
Goddess collected all the musical notes floating in the air and attached them together to form a rainbow. We call it "Us".
